POLOKWANE – Considered by many, the number-one hardware store in the province, Buco Hardware celebrated its first birthday last Thursday.

Buco Hardware Ga-Thoka offers general building materials and Do it Yourself (DIY) products in Ga-Thoka.

Buco Hardware Ga-Thoka is situated on the R71 and opened its doors on November 8 last year with sixteen permanent employees and two students.

According to Buco Hardware Ga-Thoka branch manager, Oscar Mashala, the most important thing is to be part of the community.

“If we can help the community and understand the type of building materials they need, then we are able to cater for all their needs. We believe in offering our customers, good quality items at affordable prices. Buco offers general building materials and DIY power tools. We were welcomed by the community from day one, and first-times shoppers visit our store every day. We mainly deal with local suppliers, because we believe in support locally, that is why we invest in the community that invest in us. Even though our main objective is to sell top quality product, we also believe in giving back. We do a lot of community projects. If we hear of someone who needs assistance, we will jump in to assist,” said Mashala.

He said the last project they assisted with, was the painting of Seageng Crèche at Ga-Makanye.

“They asked us for help, and without hesitation, we got a team together and gave the crèche a brand new look. “We are more than willing to take hands with the community and help build a community we can all be proud of,” he said.
